An Eldritch monstrosity is a broadly-defined variety of Deities.

Description

Perhaps the most concise definition of an Eldritch Monstrosity is a character who possesses power unimaginable to mortals.

Generally, an eldritch monstrosity is in some tangible way above and beyond the mortal world, and considers mortals to be inferior to themselves in some way. The reasons for this may vary. For example, if a Goddess decides to use their power to enter into a fictional world, she would consider its inhabitants to be less real than herself. As another example, a Deity may be 'more alive' than regular mortals, or somehow detached from regular timeflow. In this case, the Deity might consider mortals to be inanimate objects.

Eldritch monstrosities will generally possess immense power over the world/worlds they preside over, far beyond what mortals could ever hope to achieve, and usually beyond even what the other local Deities have access to.

Note that perceived superiority over mortals is not a mandatory feature of eldritch monstrosities, and even then it may not present itself as animosity towards mortals. Just like real-life humans can be fond of fictional characters, eldritch monstrosities can be fond of humans, and even romance them. This may or may not be seen as weeabo behaviour by other eldritch monstrosities.

By contrast, cosmic horrors function on the same level of reality as mortals, but their actions have such far-reaching consequences that it invokes horror in mortals. Eldritch monstrosities and cosmic horrors are not mutually exclusive.
